Privacy Policy

PlanMyPet ("we", "the service") is the planmypet.com website and a mobile app for pet care. We respect your privacy. This document describes what data we collect, why, and how you can delete it.

1. Data controller

The data controller is the operator of PlanMyPet. Contact: hello@planmypet.com.

2. What we collect

2.1. Account and sign-in

Signing in uses only your email address: we send a one-time code, no password is required or stored. The registration date and technical session identifiers are linked to the account.

2.2. Pet and care data (you enter it)

So the app can work (reminders, health score, calendar), we store what you add: pet name, species, breed, sex, weight, coat, photo (if uploaded), microchip number, city/country, records of vaccinations, treatments and medications, vet visits, weigh-ins, and — optionally — heat and pregnancy data. Purpose: to provide the service. Basis: performance of the service and your consent.

2.3. Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app stores a device push token to send reminders. Most reminders are scheduled locally on your device.

2.4. Analytics

The website uses Yandex.Metrika (counter ID 109563229) — anonymized visit data. The app uses product analytics (PostHog) — anonymized usage events (which screens you open, what actions you take) to improve the service.

2.5. Server logs

The server automatically writes access logs (IP, request, time, User-Agent). Retained for up to 30 days for debugging and security.

3. What we do NOT collect

• Payment cards or banking details — we do not take payments in the app.
• Precise location (GPS): you type your city/country yourself.
• Access to your contacts, photo library, or files — except a photo you choose for your pet.
• Third-party advertising trackers. We do not share data with ad networks.
• We do not sell or rent your data.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We use a limited set of processors needed to run the service:

• Analytics (Yandex.Metrika, PostHog) — anonymized usage data.
• Email and hosting providers — to send the sign-in code and store data.
• Lawful requests from authorized authorities when required by law.

5. Retention

Account and pet data — for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account), after which the related data is removed. Server logs — up to 30 days. Analytics — per the respective providers' policies.

6. Your rights

At any time you can:

• Delete your account and data directly in the app.
• Get a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Request corrections.
• Withdraw consent for processing.
• File a complaint with a data-protection authority (EU users).

For any of these, email hello@planmypet.com with the subject "Data request" and your account email.

7. Cookies

The website uses Yandex.Metrika cookies (for analytics). The site works without them — disabling in your browser does not break functionality.

8. Security

Data is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection with restricted access. No one can guarantee absolute security, but we make reasonable efforts.
